Building the Church in Northern Thailand

We have been in Thailand for the past 2 years where wee were involved with an orphanage but this year we moved to  Lom Sak, an agricultural town of about 17000 people. We are working with Pastor Nott & the Lom Sak Full Gospel Church where Wayne and I are involved in teaching English and swimming, helping out with youth group and Sunday School, as well as evangelism in the surrounding villages. Ben & Nang are running the Youth program and Nang is in charge of the Sunday School program. Ben & Nott are working with the hilltribes in the area of agriculture and evangelism.

Our vision is to help build a sustainable future for individuals, families and communities. Based on the foundation of God’s love,  we want to build personal skills, provide opportunities, create a sense of self worth & the hope for an exceptional life ahead.

Below is how we believe God wants us to go about the task he has given us:

Engage the community                 Connect with people and make friends don’t build walls around a church but make our town our church.

Establish new believers                Once we have a relationship with people, value them, work & walk with them, talk with them & find out their story.

Equip disciples                                 Disciple and grow people who come to know God in their journey with Jesus.

Empower leaders                            Train leaders so they can take the church in Lom Sak to a better place than we can take it.

Economic development               Help improve  lifestyle through friendship, teaching life skills, bible training, business & agricultural training.
